All Pros, No Cons.

Here’s some unsettling news: if you don’t already have an HR department, it doesn’t mean you don’t need one. And if you have one, it doesn’t mean that it’s working to optimum efficiency.

Not having one could mean that you’re missing out on the best job candidates out there, and even worse, your company could be vulnerable to potential lawsuits.

Having one isn’t necessarily all the protection you need either. HR encompasses many aspects, and hiring someone to take care of each one isn’t the most cost effective way to do business.

That’s where NationalHR comes in. We’ll put an HR professional onsite, dedicated to your firm, to either run or supplement your existing department—and only for the days and hours necessary to get the job done. When and if a situation arises that calls for particular expertise, we’ll provide a specialist in that area.

Our consultants are veterans of such companies as Progresso, Bristol Meyers, Aetna, Ogden Foods, Johnson & Johnson and Cooper Hospital, to name a few. Together, they comprise hundreds of years of experience. But you only pay for the time that you need them, even if it’s just a few hours each week.

Members of our team bring to your company a fresh perspective, and offer you the confidentiality that a hired employee can’t. Plus, you don’t need to invest in additional office space, an additional computer or employee benefits for them. And best of all, you don’t need to get involved in your company’s personnel issues anymore.

Our Five Step Approach

Once onsite, a trained Human Resources professional will take the time to learn about your company’s culture, challenges and opportunities, and will:

1. Identify what is working well, what should be continued and/or expanded

2. Uncover what is not working well and what is creating roadblocks to your company’s success

3. Concentrate on enhancing the positives while eliminating or reducing the roadblocks, and redirecting your company on a new road to greater profitability

4. Assure that our solutions will fit into your corporate culture

5. Continually monitor and adjust as things change for the better.

Did you know?
  • Did you know the five reasons why people leave their job?
  • Did you know that the first reason isn’t money?
  • Did you know that it isn’t the second, third or fourth, either?

According to research by Roger Herman, CEO of management consulting firm The Herman Group of Greensboro, NC, the reasons people leave their jobs may surprise you. In his book Keeping Good People (Oakhill Press, 1999), the following are the top five reasons:

1. Concern for his or her working environment—both physical surroundings and management policies. If put into words, “It just doesn’t feel good around here.”

2. Lack of appreciation. A feeling of “They wouldn’t miss me if I were gone.”

3. Management policies that prevent workers from getting their job done. Too many rules, and the supervisor isn’t supportive. “I am not getting the assistance I need to get my job done.”

4. Stagnant nature of some jobs. “There is no opportunity for advancement.”

If an employee isn’t learning or broadening skills, he or she will most likely search for more stimulation and opportunity at another company.

5. Compensation. People want a salary that they feel reflects their knowledge, skill level, experience and their employer’s appreciation for what they offer the company.
